Halo Laser WITH DR SABER

With time and age, our skin naturally loses its youthful glow, leaving behind wrinkles, textural changes and pigment irregularities. Given the harsh Australian sun, this natural ageing process is only fast-tracked. In fact, we Australians develop unattractive sunspots and fine lines faster than most nationalities.

In the past, laser treatments have been either too shallow or too deep to effectively remove this damage to our skin. With the hybrid qualities of HALO, however, years of ageing can be easily eliminated.

In less than an hour, patients can expect HALO to restore the luminous glow they had when they were young.

Halo Laser Treatment EXPLAINED

HALO is the world’s first Hybrid Fractional Laser and is revolutionising laser skin treatments. Delivering both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the skin, HALO treatments can resurface the skin and maximise results, without the downtime and discomfort you’d expect.

The HALO Laser works by damaging and removing old and damaged superficial epidermal cells. By penetrating deep into the skin using heat energy, this controlled damage stimulates the skin’s natural wound healing response, which encourages the production of collagen and elastin. Essentially, the skin is rejuvenated from the inside out, revealing fresh and healthy new skin.

Prior to treatment, your specific skin concerns will be discussed, and your medical history reviewed to ensure you are a suitable candidate for HALO. Thirty minutes to an hour before treatment, a topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to your skin to reduce the sensation during the procedure.

Excluding your initial consultation and the application of anaesthetic, the average treatment time for a full face takes 30 – 40 minutes.During treatment, the HALO hand piece will be uniformly rolled over the skin until the system recognises the treatment as complete. To ensure that the area is treated evenly, the treatment area will be measured with motion tracking technology.

HALO laser resurfacing is ideal for anyone looking to improve the texture and radiance of their skin. HALO targets years of skin damage and visible signs of ageing to give you that HALO glow!

HALO is unique in that you can choose the ideal treatment to suit your needs. You may opt for a lighter treatment that induces a youthful glow with minimal downtime. Alternatively, you may choose a more intensive treatment that will produce dramatically improved skin and a beautiful result.

RESULTS HALO LASER

Initial results of your Halo treatment will be seen between two to five days after treatment, however your skin will continue to improve over time. In most instances, patients can expect to see the greatest pigmentary improvement in the first two to three weeks. This is followed by a dermal regeneration phase, in which your skin will continue to improve in the months that follow.

Your halo results will last for years to come, provided that you continue to keep your new healthy skin protected against UV. Patients who want to maintain a more youthful complexion may choose to receive annual maintenance treatments. Each additional HALO treatment will only improve results further, giving you even better looking skin.

The average downtime for a HALO treatment is five days.

For the first 24 hours, you should keep your skin protected according to Dr Saber’s instructions, but after that you should be able to go about your normal activities. You will need to avoid sun, exercise, hot showers and baths during the first 24 hours.

Following treatment, your skin will remain red and there may be some visible swelling. After two to three days, your skin will develop a light bronzing appearance. By day three or four, your skin will begin to peel, revealing your new skin beneath. While you will still be able to wear makeup, it is important not to pick at the skin during this time as this may cause infection, scarring and abnormal pigmentation.

Redness, swelling and itching are some of the most common side effects following a HALO treatment session. There is also a chance that a patient could have an outbreak of cold sores or acne following treatment, however Dr Saber can prescribe medication if any infection occurs. Dr Saber Ansari will take you through all of the potential risks during your consultation so that you know what to expect but any major side effects are rare.
